In year 1995 restaurant “Agaro žiedas“and butchery shop have opened, and in year 2003 opened second butchery shop.
In 1998 cattle-ranch have been bought and renovated. On January 2000 renovated slaughterhouse started to proceed. In 1994 have been slaughtered 15 cattle per day, in 2002 an average slaughtered cattle number were 150 and 200 pigs, in 2003 – 250 cattle and 600 pigs per day.
In 2002 Agaras participated in a competition for the SAPARD support and after the winning the support wrote the contract for the new slaughterhouse and waste facility treatment building. In 2003 November the project were finished successfully and the new slaughterhouse were opened. The capacities were 40 cattle per hour or 320 cattle per shift and 120 pigs per hour or 960 pigs per shift.
On 23rd of December 2003 European Conformity certificate LT 36-09 EEB were endowed which gives right to export carcass and cutted meat into EU. At this moment Agaras slaughterhouse is the biggest slaughterhouse in Lithuania. In 2003 have been produced 5000 tones of beef carcass and 1200 tones of cutted beef, 2000 tones of pork, 938 tones of variety meat and 800 tones of hides. In 2003 Agaras were the biggest fresh meat exporter. At this moment Company exports carcass to Latvia, Estonia. Exports compose about 45% of company production.
